Repeat After Me

It's NUCLEAR, not NUCULAR!
Why do they let people speak in public if they cannot pronounce this simple word? The man was a senator being interviewed on BBC for crying out loud. Our President has set a very bad example and the pestilence is spreading.

Oh I had an experience at a public lecture last week when someone said "nuculer" in question period! It makes me cringe. We appear to have a lot of the same pet peeves. (And lest you be under the illusion that I do not "create my own frenzy," [good choice of words] I woke up this morning feeling anxiety over my to-do list and I've already sent my submission.)

Will Ferrell (sp) said it best on an episode of SNL when he said......."Strategery".

The question was, "in one word Mr. President, how would you describe our plan to remove Hussein from power?"

I swear, I've never heard G-Dub use this word in real life but I sure wouldn't put it past him.

Strategery???

Damn.

That word does seem to be a stumbling block for many public speakers!
